Anthony Buck is a versatile artist with significant experience as a stage director, singer, actor, teacher, and writer.
Onstage credits include the Evangelist (St. Matthew Passion), Prunier (La rondine), Eisenstein (Die Fledermaus), Basilio and Curzio (Le nozze di Figaro), Bajazet (Tamerlano), Nantucket Sailor (Moby Dick), Barber and Moor (Man of La Mancha), il Duca (Rigoletto), Kaspar (Amahl and the Night Visitors), Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Caijus (Falstaff), Richard (Ruddigore), Cyril (Princess Ida), Gravvins (The Cabaret Girl), Carnes (Oklahoma).
Directorial credits include L'elisir d'amore, St. Matthew Passion, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Carmen (AD), Idomeneo, The Magic Flute, Amahl and the Night Visitors, The Gondoliers, The Mikado, Into the Woods, Arabian Nights, Father of the Bride, The Island of Tulipatan. Writing credits include A Christmas Carol (one act opera, composer - Michael Leavitt), English language Die Fledermaus, Pantalone and the 7 Lovers, Pantalone's Pockets, and Pantalone Plots Again, EPIC Fantasy, EPIC Western, and Arabian Nights (contributing writer).
He taught voice and assisted in Opera Workshop and Italian and German Diction at the University of Utah, and currently teaches voice at Salt Lake Community College. He is a drama mentor for Utah Festival Opera's Opera by Children Program. He has been directing staff at Utah Vocal Arts Academy for 6 summers.
