UVAA Summer Opera Festival is proudly sponsored by Utah Valley University Department of Music

The UVAA Studio Artist Program, now entering its ninth year, provides college-aged singers with acting training, role preparation, musical development, and performance opportunities to help them get to the next level on their career path.

The 2019 program includes:

  • Perform a secondary role or chorus in Die Zauberflöte or La Tragédie de Carmen

  • Perform opera scenes at "Opera in the Park"

  • Participate in regular Acting and Movement Class with Anthony Laciura

  • Participate in regular Master Classes from elite guest artists such as last year's artists: Deborah Voigt, Frank Lopardo, and Wendy Bryn Harmer

  • Receive regular individual coaching from our artistic staff

Program cost:  $2,100 (limited scholarships available)

Housing, transportation, and food costs are not included. Housing may be arranged through UVAA or privately, and the cost typically ranges from $400-800 depending on the particular accommodations.

Utah Vocal Arts Academy will be using YAP Tracker for our applications this season. You do not need to be a paying subscriber to YAP Tracker to use the application form, although you will need an account (guest accounts are available; see the website for details).  Registration can be completed at
