Sydney Frodsham is a mezzo-soprano from McKinney, Texas, currently based in Provo, Utah. She graduated with her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Southern Methodist University in May 2018, and is currently pursuing her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Brigham Young University.
This fall, she will be singing the role of Third Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte at BYU. Her most recent roles include Irene in Theodora and Bradamante in Alcina, both by Handel. Sydney has premiered two new works with the Dallas-based ensemble Voices of Change, and in May 2016 performed the Knabenalt in Gustav Mahler’s Das klagende Lied with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Jaap van Zweden. She also plays the harp and the piano.
