Our high school singers frequently win Sterling Scholar recognition, NATS competitions, Solo and Ensemble Superiors, Classical Singer Competition, Youngarts Competition, school musicals and scholarships to fantastic collegiate vocal programs. Dr. Hurtado is deeply committed to discovering and nurturing the talents of young classical singers. In order to accomplish this he provides a few limited partial scholarships each year to high school-aged singers who demonstrate potential in opera. Acceptance into his studio and scholarships are determined by audition only.
